STARTING GYMNASTICS AS AN ADULT

Yes, it is absolutely possible for an adult to learn gymnastics. In fact, that’s why we started our gym because gymnastics is so beneficial for adults! 

Here are a few tips for adult beginners in gymnastics:

  1. Start slow: As an adult, it’s important to start slow and progress gradually. Focus on mastering the basics before attempting more advanced skills.
  2. Focus on a well rounded program, strength, flexibility and skill. All these elements are important, but constantly building a strength and flexibility base should be your number one priority.
  3. Find a gym or coach: Enrolling in a small class will ensure you have a coaches guiding you in the right direction.
  4. Be patient and persistent: Learning gymnastics as an adult can be a challenge, but with persistence and patience, you can make progress and achieve your goals.

Remember, safety should always be a top priority in gymnastics, so make sure to follow proper technique and listen to your body.
