HOW TO LEARN A HANDSTAND – THE BEGINNERS GUIDE

You don’t need to be a gymnast to handstand like one. In fact, most adults who learn to handstand with us haven’t done a handstand since they were little kids.

If you are starting out, or have been trying to learn handstands with little success please read on we will share our best tips and tricks to get you moving in the right direction. Put these into practice and you will be balancing on your hands in no time.

Handstand can be difficult for many reasons, it’s very confusing about where to start. Some people just pick it up by kick up and trying others seem to persistently try over and over without much change. The great news is that it doesn’t have to be hard or confusing, let us simplify things for you.


LEARN TO HANDSTAND TIPS:


FALL AND EXIT SAFELY

Fall and exit safely. It’s going to happen a lot so you must learn to do it safely and get used to it. Like a child learning to walk and run, falling is inevitable. Keep things as safe as possible, make sure your space is clear of furniture and objects. Practice a few falling/exit techniques so that your body knows what to do. Fall out drill watch here


PRACTICE IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT

Practice in the right environment. A place with no time pressure and judgment. Find a specific class, focused on handstands, or go to a park, beach, or find a safe place at home where all your time and attention dedicated to the skill. Handstand tutorial watch here.
